At Martelo and Mo, we hope you adore your handcrafted furniture and home decor. However, if you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help with a fair and transparent returns process.
14-Day Returns Policy
For UK purchases, you have the right to return your item(s) within 14 days of receipt for a refund or exchange. No reason is required for your return; however, items must meet the following conditions:

Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and a fully resalable condition.

Any loss in value due to damage or improper handling may result in a deduction from the refund.
Please note that buyers are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping.
Unfortunately, returns initiated after 14 days are not eligible for a refund or exchange. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Non-Returnable Items
We are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for the following:

Items made to order, personalised, or customised (including bespoke finishes, sizes, or designs).

Gift cards.

Items purchased during the sale

Natural variations in wood grain, colour, knots, or minor dimensional changes caused by environmental factors such as humidity and temperature.
How to Initiate a Return

Include your receipt or proof of purchase with your correspondence. We aim to respond within 48 hours to confirm your return and provide further instructions.
Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

If approved, refunds will be processed via your original payment method within 7–10 business days. Original delivery charges are non-refundable.

In cases of damage or wear caused by improper handling, we reserve the right to offer only a partial refund.
Exchanges
We are happy to replace items if they arrive damaged or defective. To arrange an exchange, please contact us at info@marteloandmo.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery.
Damaged or Faulty Goods
We take great care in crafting and shipping your order, but if your item arrives damaged:

Inspect your purchase immediately upon delivery.

Do not sign for goods that are visibly damaged.

We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly through repair, replacement, or refund.
Shipping Costs for Returns
Buyers are responsible for the cost of returning items unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or damage during transit. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for items over £100/$75.
Wood Characteristics
Each piece we create is unique, featuring natural wood grain, colour variations, and knots. These features are a testament to the authenticity of the material and are not considered defects. Additionally, slight dimensional changes due to environmental factors are normal for solid wood products and do not qualify for returns.
